Discord Logo Submissions
-
We are looking for ideas for the new Discord logo. Are you handy with Photoshop? We'd love to see what you can come up with. If you are interested in helping out and want to submit an image to be considered for the rebranding, please post it below! Thank you
One thing that I strongly recommend doing is to take your images and add them to your own private Discord server to test the icons and see how they look and fit. There's also an avatar cropping tool that can help visualize: https://avatarcropper.com/

Here are a few examples I threw together and thought I'd share to help get some creative juices flowing for anyone interested in contributing.
Some of the other staff have contributed ideas as well, so I'll let them share their work if they decide to. The logo on the forums and website was made by Sentinel
The forums/site logo is also not final so if you have ideas for that banner please feel free to share as well.

The runic font I'm using in the images below is Britannian Runes II from http://www.thealmightyguru.com/GameFonts/Series-Ultima.html

Threw this together this morning. It's a bit extra, but lots of options to de-scale and minimize.

And a second:

@pandora the discord logo is really tiny. all that detail will be lost and the font wont even be readable
-
@vega that's why I have the little emblem on the bottom. that'd be for something like the discord logo.

Loved the second picture @Pandora . GJ. I will not even touch photoshop for this job
-
Wow! Love the work so far! Those are some very cool and detailed images.

Easy enough to change the colour's (see bottom right) but kept it similar to the last 3 years with the warmer oranges.. in hindsight, I should have bumped the tone a bit as its lacking that pop.. but Im outta time for now.

@hoax @Pandora thanks to both of you for your submissions so far.
Pandora you have definitely captured the medieval theme with the castle-like feel, great job.
Hoax you did a great job of finding a concise image to represent the brand and the mix of Runic with English lettering was a fantastic choice.
It's a tough call to make, but we're going to be considering the existing submissions.
If it's not too much to ask, would either of you be willing to extend your ideas with a banner for the front page of our website? Currently, Sentinel has been helping to re-create the banner to be similar to our old one, but if you guys have an idea that goes along with your submissions, we'd love to explore that as well.
The current banner is:
One thing is, the color orange is not really intended to be part of the color scheme, we're going more for tan/light-brown parchment/paper colors.
Let us know what you think and if you would like to contribute more.

@gorgan Cool, Next chance I get I will do a Tan/brown variation. One issue I've struggled with in the passed dealing clients is readability in those hue ranges on light back grounds. I suspect you wont ever be using it for that, but thought I would mention that for future considerations in mind.
Here is another variation I was toying with a week ago. the grunge could have been a bit more considered imo
